Bi-Annual Exception Details:- First year salary of up to $3.29M in 2017-18 permitted which increases at the same rate as the Salary Cap
- 2025-26 value: $5,135,000
- The bi-annual exception cannot be used in adjacent seasons
- Contracts can have a maximum length of 2 years
- The teams cap hit must remain below the Salary Cap tax apron to be used
- Any team that uses the Bi-Annual Exception cannot exceed the tax apron for the remainder of that season
- Unavailable to any team that has used the room or taxpayer mid-level exception during the current season
- Unavailable to any team that has signed a player using cap room during the current season
